Students travel to communities where Humaniti is actively working and has established trusted local partnerships. Locations may vary based on program availability and community needs. For Summer 2026, the location will be Dominican Republic

Xperience Humaniti is open to students ages 14 to 19 who are interested in global service, cultural learning, and personal growth, regardless of prior travel or service experience.
No prior experience is required. The program is designed to prepare and support participants at every stage of the journey.
Students who have participated in a previous trip with us are welcome to participate again. However, due to high volumes of registrants, we cannot guarantee that you will be selected to participate again.
Plane tickets will be purchased for each participating student. The student will be traveling in a group along with qualified supervisors and staff from the Humaniti team.
The flight, food, and accommodations will be provided during the duration of the trip. Additional purchases made outside of prepared provisions will be at the expense of the students.
Fundraising is a core part of the leadership journey and helps students build responsibility, initiative, communication skills, and confidence while making the program more accessible.
Yes. Students receive a fundraising toolkit that includes sample letters and emails, school-based fundraising templates, online donation setup instructions, and a suggested fundraising timeline.
Incomplete fundraising may affect participation. The program team works closely with students to support success, but responsibility ultimately rests with the student.
Participants receive pre-departure training covering cultural awareness, safety, expectations, and the values guiding the program.
Orientation outlines daily rhythms such as wake-up times, meals, transportation rules, service hours, evening debriefs, and hygiene expectations.
Yes. All students must complete the full orientation program before traveling. Orientation ensures participants are prepared culturally, emotionally, and physically for the experience.
Students develop empathy, leadership skills, cultural awareness, confidence, and a deeper understanding of their role as global citizens.
Clear codes of conduct are reviewed during orientation and enforced by program leaders and local partners throughout the experience.
Participants engage in international service projects, cultural exchange, community engagement, group reflection, and educational sessions led by Humaniti staff and local partners.
Students are encouraged to disconnect with technological devices, but are allowed to use them during free time. Additionally, the Humaniti team will be sending regular photos and status updates throughout the trip.
